Little Butterfly.

I refuse to allow the grasp of my past to hold me hostage.
I accept my present to hold me in bondage
A product of clay, Kelvin is the model
Role models like my mother hold it down for me though
She maintains her stance like an ancient roman pillar
Standing taller than the recorded gladiator killers.
She fills me with roses that grow deep into my heart.
For all the emotions I feel this one is much deeper.

In the open seas I stand ready to poise my sails
In the long voyage I know I might fail.
Over and over again I will regrow like a lizard tail

Conquest.
Face the sea and I already taste conquest brewing up
Survival is hardly sufficient for a star on the come up

I refuse to give up
Rather have the gods of fate watch me dance on their palms.
I DO mind scorching my bridges just to get by
Strength of a heart is born from saying goodbye.
Calm is the caterpillar mind that learns to fly

Now little butterfly,
Let your flapping wings kiss the moon that sings of a symphony
Fashioned with the tales of your historic victory.
